UV Laser

About The Product

UV Laser

The UV marking laser is capable of performing high-contrast markings on very delicate materials thanks to the high absorption index of UV radiation. The Fly UV colors the product surface through a photochemical process, and the heat produced by the marking is so limited that it does not damage the component. With a typical pulse duration of 20ns, this laser guarantees optimal results for various applications, such as transparent or colored plastics, medical plastics, and highly additive plastics for electronic component housings. This laser is ideal for the medical sector, home appliances, and glass marking.

The UV marking laser uses a wavelength of 355nm, part of the ultraviolet spectrum, to achieve high-resolution markings on delicate materials. Its efficiency derives from the high absorption index of UV radiation by target materials, which allows for precise markings with minimal thermal impact. The marking process is predominantly photochemical, limiting heat generation and preventing structural damage to sensitive components. The high absorption index of UV radiation and the 20ns pulse duration make this technology particularly suitable for markings on transparent or colored plastics, medical materials, and high-performance plastics used in electronic components. The UV laser is also ideal for glass marking, where it is essential to avoid microfractures. Integration into automated production environments is facilitated by the system’s versatility and its ability to operate with high precision on high-speed production lines, making it an essential tool for sectors where marking quality and durability are critical.

Main Features

Versatility

The Compactmark G8 can be equipped with a wide variety of accessories. For example, it can provide W-axis for marking cylindrical components, 3-axis heads for marking non-planar surfaces as well as vision systems for marking centering and reading 2D codes.

Productivity

The CompactMark G8 allows the marking of an area of 700x450mm (with focal length FFL160), thanks to the movement of the X-axis and the Y-axis working plane. This marker is ideal both for engraving on a single part and on a pallet with hundreds of small parts, always maintaining perfect centring.

Stablity

The frame of the CompactMark G8 is completely made of stretched and machined welded steel. After thermal stress relief, the structure is finished to create support shelves for screws and slides. This allows greater acceleration of the axles without vibration, and guarantees stability and strength.
