The Picosecond laser marker is a modern tool used for marking or engraving components with great precision. The characteristic infrared wavelength interacts effectively with all metallic materials and numerous plastic materials. This source belongs to the Ultrafast laser category and is characterized by laser pulse durations in the order of picoseconds. The optical fiber architecture ensures versatility and durability over time with very high quality standards. This laser allows for permanent, high-resolution markings without consumables. The picosecond laser offers significant advantages in terms of marking quality and is ideal for the Medical, Home Appliance, and Jewelry sectors, where high contrast markings and corrosion resistance are crucial.
The picosecond fiber laser represents one of the most advanced technologies in the field of industrial marking, thanks to its ability to emit ultrashort laser pulses in the order of picoseconds (10-12 seconds). This very brief interaction time significantly reduces the thermal effect on materials, minimizing the formation of heat-affected zones (HAZ) and preventing melting or deformation of the marked material. The extreme precision allows for markings with very fine details, perfect for applications requiring very high resolution and sharpness. The optical fiber architecture not only increases the robustness and reliability of the system but also allows for a flexible configuration, ideal for integration into automated production lines. Furthermore, the high energy efficiency of the picosecond fiber laser helps reduce operating costs. Thanks to its ability to generate high-contrast and corrosion-resistant markings, this type of laser is particularly appreciated in the medical, home appliance, and jewelry sectors, where aesthetic quality and durability of markings are of crucial importance.
Towerslide X agilely marks components of different shapes and sizes. The marking area of 650×150 mm allows for inserting pallets with multiple components. It’s possible to create different template models to adapt to any type of gadget, based on production needs. Processing and model changes are extremely simple, and customers can quickly and economically vary the type and quantity of gadgets to be marked. The machine can also be equipped with a W-axis to mark cylindrical parts such as cups and water bottles.
Compared to systems with a rotating table that have a side entrance for pre-setting activities, the Towerslide X has a convenient and wide front door that greatly simplifies setup operations. With small production batches, it can also be used as a standalone station and perform single markings or on individual pallets quickly and easily.
