he infrared fiber laser is an advanced tool used in industrial marking for its precision and versatility. The characteristic infrared wavelength interacts effectively with all metallic materials and some plastic materials. This technology allows for permanent, high-resolution markings without consumables, ensuring high-quality results. The fiber laser offers significant advantages in terms of marking speed and quality, making them ideal for applications in sectors such as automotive, electronics, and promotional products. The versatility and customization capabilities make the laser an indispensable tool for product traceability and branding.
The infrared fiber laser uses an optical fiber doped with rare elements, such as ytterbium, to amplify the laser beam, producing a wavelength of 1064nm. This makes the laser particularly suitable for interacting with metallic materials and some types of plastics. Fiber technology offers high electrical efficiency, long lifespan, and reduced maintenance thanks to the solid structure and resistance of optical fibers. The ability to focus the laser beam on an extremely small point allows for very high resolution and precise markings, ideal for 1D and 2D codes, QR codes, and complex details. Furthermore, the possibility to vary the modulation frequency over a wide range allows for high scanning speeds without compromising quality, increasing production efficiency. The precise and instantaneous power control allows for customized markings for different applications, making the fiber laser an excellent choice for traceability, identification, and product customization processes in highly competitive sectors.
Towerslide X agilely marks components of different shapes and sizes. The marking area of 650×150 mm allows for inserting pallets with multiple components. It’s possible to create different template models to adapt to any type of gadget, based on production needs. Processing and model changes are extremely simple, and customers can quickly and economically vary the type and quantity of gadgets to be marked. The machine can also be equipped with a W-axis to mark cylindrical parts such as cups and water bottles.
Compared to systems with a rotating table that have a side entrance for pre-setting activities, the Towerslide X has a convenient and wide front door that greatly simplifies setup operations. With small production batches, it can also be used as a standalone station and perform single markings or on individual pallets quickly and easily.
