The MOPA laser is based on fiber technology and is used in industrial marking due to its accuracy and adaptability. The infrared emission spectrum allows for effective processing of various materials, including metals and numerous plastic polymers. This system enables the creation of indelible, highly precise marks without the use of consumables. MOPA fiber technology offers significant benefits in terms of speed and accuracy, making it optimal for use in fields such as the automotive industry, electronics sector, and promotional field. MOPA technology allows for varying the duration of laser pulses, increasing versatility compared to a standard fiber source.
The MOPA infrared marking device utilizes an optical conductor enriched with rare elements, such as ytterbium, to enhance the light beam, generating an electromagnetic wave of 1064nm. This characteristic makes this laser particularly effective in marking metallic components and various types of polymeric materials. The methodology based on optical fiber ensures high energy efficiency, remarkable longevity, and reduced maintenance needs, thanks to its robustness and the durability of optical conductors. The ability to concentrate the light beam in an extremely circumscribed point allows for the creation of markings with very high definition and accuracy, making it optimal for creating 1D and 2D codes, QR codes, and complex graphics. Furthermore, the ability to vary the modulation frequency over a wide range allows for high scanning speeds without compromising quality, increasing production efficiency. The precise and instantaneous control of power and pulse duration allows for customized markings, making the optical fiber device an optimal solution for monitoring, recognition, and customization procedures of items in highly competitive industrial sectors.
Towerslide X agilely marks components of different shapes and sizes. The marking area of 650×150 mm allows for inserting pallets with multiple components. It’s possible to create different template models to adapt to any type of gadget, based on production needs. Processing and model changes are extremely simple, and customers can quickly and economically vary the type and quantity of gadgets to be marked. The machine can also be equipped with a W-axis to mark cylindrical parts such as cups and water bottles.
Compared to systems with a rotating table that have a side entrance for pre-setting activities, the Towerslide X has a convenient and wide front door that greatly simplifies setup operations. With small production batches, it can also be used as a standalone station and perform single markings or on individual pallets quickly and easily.
